Luciana Solari began her riding journey at age seven in Argentina, developing her foundation under the guidance of a German trainer who instilled in her both precise riding technique and a disciplined, organized approach to horse management. From those early years, Luciana developed a deep respect for the craft of horsemanship that has defined her career ever since.
Through dedication and talent, Luciana rose to top competitive levels, riding in the high amateur owner jumpers and the Grand Prix ring. Her years as a competitor gave her an intimate understanding of what it takes to prepare horses and riders for the demands of the show circuit — knowledge she now brings directly to every student and horse in her program.
Luciana has a particular passion for working with young horses. She teaches them to trust through patience, consistency, and encouragement, and brings a creative, flexible approach to every horse she trains. Luciana believes deeply that no two horses are alike and that the trainer’s job is to meet each horse where it is — building confidence and ability at a pace that allows the horse to genuinely succeed.
In the arena, Luciana is known for bringing a warm, energetic, and fun presence to every lesson. She believes that a strong foundation in flat work is the cornerstone of everything that follows, and she builds her students’ skills thoughtfully and progressively. Her students range from beginners finding their confidence to experienced competitors pursuing the Grand Prix ring — and she brings equal passion and commitment to all of them.
At Solari Show Stables at Alma Mia Farm, Luciana leads a program built on horsemanship, partnership, and the joy of the sport. Whether your goal is your first ribbon or the Grand Prix ring, Luciana and her team are here to help you and your horse reach your full potential.
Mariano Bedoya was born and raised in Argentina, where equestrianism was a family legacy. The son of Jorge Bedoya Guido — an Olympic equestrian who competed at the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City — Mariano began his show jumping career under some of the sport’s greatest names, including the legendary Nelson Pessoa.
His competitive record at the international level is among the most distinguished of any trainer working in Colorado today. A member of the Argentine national equestrian team, Mariano competed in Nations Cup competitions across South America and Europe from 1986, represented Argentina at the Pan American Games in Havana in 1991 and Santo Domingo in 2003, and qualified for the Olympic Games in both 1996 and 2004.
Beyond his own competition career, Mariano has an equally impressive record as a developer of international talent. He served as personal trainer for a Pan American Games silver medalist, qualified a rider for the 1996 Atlanta Olympics and the 1998 Rome World Equestrian Games, and coached the Dominican Republic Equestrian Team at the 2002 Central American Games.
Since relocating to Colorado in 2003 with his wife and training partner Luciana Solari, Mariano has built one of the most respected show jumping programs in the region. He works with riders of all levels — from first-timers to Grand Prix competitors — bringing the same precision, patience, and passion to every lesson. At Alma Mia Farm, his world-class credentials and genuine love of teaching set the standard for everything Solari Show Stables represents.
